The Orientation for the Freshmen of the Class of 2015

September 9 in 2015 witnessed the first day for the freshmen students’ registration. The students and teachers on the Chang Ping campus plunged enthusiastically to welcome the arrival of new students. Zhang Liang —  the Secretary of the Party Committee, Li Suzhen — the Assistant Dean, Fu Guozhu — the Deputy Director of the Students Management Office, Li Fujia — the director of the Students Affairs and all the instructors took part in all the activities of welcoming the new freshmen in the faculty of Humanities and Law.       
On the day of welcoming the new students, all the participants received up to 800 students and parents of the Class of 2015.  Freshmen students and their parents consulted about the relevant information of the university and the potential development of the students. The instructors and sophomore students of the Class of 2014 introduced all the registration procedures in detail with great patience, guided them to buy the bedding and mattress, checked in for the accommodation and answered their questions. The students from the Students Union of the faculty took a picture for every freshman student as the souvenir for getting enrolled, and they also provide the resting area for the parents. The atmosphere of the spot for welcoming the new students is warm and everything is well-organized, which has been praised unanimously by the parents.   
 At 3 p.m., the meeting with the parents of new students was held in Room 615 in the main teaching building. Zhang Liang — the Secretary of the Party Committee, Li Suzhen — the Assistant Dean, Fu Guozhu — the Deputy Director of the Students Management Office, Li Fujia — the director of the Students Affairs participated in the meeting. During the meeting, Zhang Liang – the Secretary of the Party Committee of the faculty made a systematic introduction to the Faculty of Humanities and Law. Then
a video clip of the basics of the faculty and students’activities was displayed and he answered the parents’ questions patiently,  concerning about the general information of the faculty, disciplinary development, employment opportunities, military training and many other issues, in the process of which he earned warm applauses from the parents very frequently.

The orientation meeting with the freshmen students was held by the Faculty of Humanities and Law at 10.40 a.m. on September 10.  Zhang Liang —  the Secretary of the Party Committee, Li Suzhen — the Assistant Dean, Zhang Zhihua – the Administrative Deputy Dean, Fu Guozhu — the Deputy Director of the Students Management Office, Li Fujia — the Director of the Students Affairs, Sun Ge — the Director of the Social Sports Department Xue Changli—the Director of the Law Department, Zhou Yanling — the Director of the Public Administration, Fan Liyun — the Deputy Director of the English Department, Chen Chuanfa — the Deputy Director of the Law Department participated in this grand meeting. Firstly, Zhang Liang —  the Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a speech to introduce the cultural heritage, the current situation and development of the faculty and meanwhile, he expressed the expectations for the students, in the hope of that students will take the initiative to study industriously. He also pointed out that students should lay a solid foundation in their respective specialized subject, and on the basis of that to develop the ability, and know yourself and set up practical life goals, and stick to them to become the real talents. Then, the chairman of the Students’ Union as the representative of the students of the Class 2014 introduced his experiences and methods of study, campus life and social activities. In the end, the representative student of the Class 2015 Teng Jiaxi expressed her pride as a member of the faculty and she is ready to embrace her new college life and she is determined to work hard to become a capable talent.  
In the afternoon of September 10, the directors and head teachers of the faculty had meetings with the freshmen students, and these meetings are very important parts of the orientation. These meetings enabled the students of the Class of 2015 to have a deeper understanding of their majors and promoted the communication between teachers and students, and students began to develop the consciousness of planning for the four years ‘college life, which is very significant for their growth.

Thus, the orientation for freshmen students came to a successful end. The arrival of the students of the Class of 2015 instills the new vigor and vitality to the faculty, and the future of the faculty will be brighter.
