Pan Chongkun

Associate Professor

  

  

Pan Chongkun, female, associate professor, holds a master's degree in foreign linguistics and applied linguistics from the University of International Business and Economics. She was  once a senior visiting scholar of China Foreign Language Education Research Center and a visiting scholar of University of Houston, USA.

 

Research direction

Teaching of Second Language Writing, Academic English Writing, Discourse Analysis. Pan has published some research papers, participated in the compilation of textbooks like Business English and other supplementary books. Besides, she also published three translations from English to Chinese:”History’s Greatest Hits”, Eyes in the Darkness and Winter and Night.

Pan is currently an instructor of the English Department,teaching College English Writing, An Introduction to Language” for students majoring in English, and the core literacy elective course English for Academic Communication for students majoring in science and engineering.

 

Honors received

In 2008 Pan recieved the first prize of Young University Teachers’ Basic Teaching Skills Competition held in Beijing. she also won the honorary titles of Excellent Teacher, Exemption Teacher, Outstanding Young Lecturer, Teaching Rising Star Award, Excellent Class Teacher, and Advanced Individual in Employment in BUCT. In 2012, she won the title of The Ninth Star in My Heart·Campus Top Ten Teachers voted by students.
