English major has been awarded the first-class undergraduate program in Beijing. The department has set upan International Writing Centerto provide high-quality academic journal paper writing guidance and revision to the teachers and students at the whole university, which will further facilitate the construction of the first-class university.  One outstanding teaching team has been formed witha reasonable structure of teachers’ academic qualifications and professional titles，and all the teachers have had more than six months’ overseas educational experiences. The  department has established stable cooperation with the renowned magazine publisher of The World of English, which will provide translation internship opportunities to  our English major students.  Based on the construction of the double first-class university,  the department of English has made great achievements in the students’ rate of employment,  passing rate of TEM-4 and TEM-8. In order to optimize students opportunities of international exchanges, the department has established the long-term International Students’ Exchange Program（the tuition fee is exempt）and “2+2”Program with the Canadian King’s College of the University of Western Ontario (Upon acquiring the required credits, students will be awarded with Bachelor of Arts from both universities ).
