The College of Humanities and Law held a special party class to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army’s mission to resist U.S. Aggression and aid Korea
On October 30th, the College of Humanities and Law held a special party class to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army’s mission to resist US Aggression and aid Korea in the Audio-visual Building on the East Campus. Shi Jingguang, a Professor from the College of Humanities and Law and the author of “Extreme War”, the second episode of the CCTV documentary Heroes , was invited to give a lecture in this party class, the theme of which was Looking at the Precious Legacy Left to New China from the Victory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea from the Extreme War. All undergraduates and postgraduate party members, prospective party members and party activists on the East Campus participated in the study. This lecture was also available in the form of live broadcasting for those on the North Campus. Liang Yanliang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Humanities and Law, presided over the special party class meeting.
Based on the basic historical facts of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Professor Shi Jingguang guided everyone to think about the four whys in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. By explaining the differences in the three dimensions of national strength, military strength, and logistical support, Professor Shi analyzed the fighting situation of one army versus three. Interviews with veterans shared in this class and stories of the five battles to resist US aggression and aid Korea not only allow everyone to see a more vivid image of the veterans, but deepens everyone's understanding of the great spirit of resisting US aggression and aiding Korea. The fusion of individual heroic deeds and collective patriotism in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea is an important content that party members and comrades need to learn and comprehend in the new era.

Professor Shi Jingguang believes that the resistance to US aggression and aid to Korea is a precious legacy left to the Chinese nation. At the end of the class, Professor Shi pointed out, “As a party member, we must closely relate the individual to the country, combine personal pursuits with the development goals of the organization, and play our own role. The great spirit of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army’s mission to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea has set our path straight in life and will lead us to a glorious future.
