Zhang Jianwei, Dean of the College of Humanities and Law, Visited Two Primary Courts in Beijing

On July 3 and 5, Professor Zhang Jianwei, Dean of the School of Humanities and Law, led a team to visit the People’s Court of Changping District and the People’s Court of Yanqing District in Beijing. They held in-depth discussions with court officials on topics including internships, talent development, legal practice, and Great Wall preservation. Additionally, they explored the potential for establishing comprehensive, long-term cooperative relationships.




Liang Zhiyong, Director of the Political Department of the Changping Court, accompanied Professor Zhang Jianwei and his team on a tour of the court's exhibition showcasing achievements in legal culture. Liang suggested exploring the idea of bringing legal practice into schools through circuit trials. The meeting was also attended by Wang Ruiyan, Deputy Director of the Political Department of Changping District Court, and Jia Qi, Head of the Education and Training Group of the Political Office.



Yu Lijiang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Yanqing Court, provided an overview of the development of the Environmental Resources Tribunal and the adjudication of environmental protection cases. The two parties engaged in focused discussions on protecting the Great Wall, covering topics such as civil public interest litigation, punitive damages, and the coordination between administrative and civil law. They also established a long-term cooperation agreement on talent development and internship opportunities.
