BUCT College of Humanities and Law Conducts Admission Promotion and Enterprise Visits in Shenzhen
From April 26 to 28, Professor Zhang Jianwei, Dean of the College of Humanities and Law at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, led a delegation to Shenzhen. They conducted admission consultation at Shenzhen Bao'an High School (Group) and Shenzhen Experimental School, visited the First Circuit Court of the Supreme People's Court and JingShi Shenzhen Law Firm to expand job opportunities, and engaged in interdisciplinary exchange with Shenzhen University’s College of Law. Participating in the activities were Professor Zhou Yanling, head of BUCT’s Guangdong Admissions Team, along with Associate Professors Ma Xiaofeng, Cheng Yaoyao, and Yao Siyu from the Department of Public Administration.
At Shenzhen Bao’an Middle School (Group) and Shenzhen Experimental School, the delegation was warmly received by He Xiang, Executive Vice Principal; Zheng Liangkai from the Teaching Office; Lin Jintai, Director of the Senior High Student Office; and other school representatives. Both sides had in-depth discussions on attracting outstanding students, integrated talent cultivation, and admissions promotion, laying a solid foundation for future enrollment cooperation. Professor Zhou Yanling, head of BUCT’s Guangdong Admissions Team, was interviewed by the program “Prestigious Universities Visiting Guangdong’s Top High Schools” to introduce BUCT’s admissions policies and enrollment trends in Guangdong over the past three years. The admissions team also provided detailed answers to questions from parents and prospective students.
During the visit to the First Circuit Court of the Supreme People’s Court, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Gao Fujun, Deputy Party Group Member and Party Affairs Discipline Commissioner, Gao Xiaodan, Director of the Litigation Service Center, Ma Xiao, Director of the General Office, and Zheng Yijun, representatives of the First Circuit Court of the Supreme People’s Court. Both parties had in-depth discussions on establishing internship programs. Gao Fujun shared detailed requirements, scale, internship content, and goals for interns, while Dean Zhang introduced BUCT’s discipline development, distinctive strengths, and initiatives in talent cultivation. A preliminary consensus on future internship collaboration was reached.
Professor Zhou Wei introduced the College’s initiatives and plans for interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate programs. Associate Professor Lü shared key practical challenges in interdisciplinary talent cultivation, while Professor Zhang Haomin discussed difficulties interdisciplinary researchers face in scientific research. Dean Zhang shared BUCT’s practices in interdisciplinary research, and Professors Zhou Yanling, Ma Xiaofeng, Cheng Yaoyao, and Yao Siyu contributed insights from their own interdisciplinary teaching and research experiences. Both sides expressed strong interest in deepening cooperation and sharing experiences.
Through this series of activities in Shenzhen, the BUCT College of Humanities and Law not only strengthened cooperation with top high schools in Guangdong, but also reached internship and employment agreements with renowned legal institutions, and established an academic exchange mechanism with Shenzhen University’s College of Law.
The College will continue to expand cooperation with high-quality universities and enterprises, optimize admissions consultation, diversify talent cultivation pathways, and enhance discipline development, striving to attract more outstanding students to BUCT and nurture high-caliber talents for society.
