Party Committee of the College of Humanities and Law Holds Special Lecture on Party Discipline Education
To further accurately grasp the main principles of the Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Disciplinary Actions (Regulations), enhance the construction of the college's clean culture, continuously strengthen the discipline awareness of the majority of party members, and improve their party spirit, the college’s party committee held a special session on party discipline education and the 2024 Party Conduct and Clean Government Promotion Education Month event on the afternoon of June 21. The event took place in the report hall on the basement level of the East Campus Science and Technology Building. The college invited Li Fujia, Vice Secretary of the School Commission for Discipline Inspection and Director of the Supervision Office, to give a special lecture. College party and administrative leaders, party committee members, secretaries of each party branch, department heads, faculty party members, and representatives of teachers and students attended the event.
The lecture, “Study Discipline, Understand Discipline, Clarify Discipline, and Adhere to Discipline – Enhancing Discipline Awareness and Improving Party Spirit,” was delivered by Li Fujia. In his report, he systematically explained, with abundant historical facts, that strict discipline is a glorious tradition and unique advantage of the Party. He led the attendees in a thorough study of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s major addresses on comprehensively strengthening Party discipline construction, emphasizing the importance of conducting discipline education. He emphasized the main content, methods, approaches, and objectives of Party discipline education. With a rigorous teaching logic, Comrade Li illustrated the relevant negative lists and typical warning cases related to the Regulations, clearly presenting the Party’s discipline. This helped the audience further understand what they can and cannot do. During the session, he also introduced the relevant situation of the school’s discipline construction and engaged in interactive discussions with the teachers and students on common issues encountered in the work of the Discipline Inspection Commission.
In his concluding speech, Zhang Liang, Secretary of the College Party Committee, pointed out that the concentrated tutoring on Party discipline education is not only a significant event in the college’s 2024 Party Conduct and Clean Government Promotion Month but also an important activity in Party discipline education. He noted that this initiative helps party members among the faculty and students to further accurately understand and grasp the essence and requirements of the Regulations. It also enhances their political, disciplinary, moral, and anti-corruption fortitude. Zhang emphasized the importance of thoroughly studying the Regulations and ensuring it is deeply ingrained in minds and hearts. He urged grassroots Party branches should integrate the 2024 Party Conduct and Clean Government Promotion Month activities with their regular duties. They should further innovate learning methods, highlight key achievements, actively select and promote exemplary models, and strive to transform learning outcomes into practical work results. This ensures that all party members achieve high-quality learning and tangible effectiveness, and truly internalize the discipline requirements and put them into action.
