With summer breezes bringing a refreshing spirit and shuttlecocks soaring through the air, the College of Humanities and Law successfully hosted its “Play Together, Stay Healthy” Badminton Tournament for faculty member and graduate students on the evenings of June 12 and 13 at the university gymnasium.
This lively event aligned with the university’s Mental Health Season initiative, using sports as a bridge to enhance physical fitness, relieve stress, strengthen bonds between faculty and students, and foster a positive and uplifting campus atmosphere.
Organized by the College of Humanities and Law, the tournament featured five categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. Its flexible format attracted enthusiastic participation from both faculty and students.
Teachers including Xue Changli, He Yudong, Feng Ke, Peng Feng, and Zhou Peng competed side by side with graduate students, while dedicated staff ensured the event was fair, orderly, and enjoyable for all.
On the court, faculty and students displayed vibrant energy and true sportsmanship; off the court, applause and cheers echoed throughout the venue. Through fierce rallies and close teamwork, participants challenged themselves and deepened mutual understanding, embodying the harmonious “mentor and friend” spirit of the College.
The graceful arcs of the shuttlecocks capture the vitality of youth, while each drop of sweat bore witness to perseverance and growth.
With rackets as their tools and the court as their bridge, faculty and students ignited their passion for life and deepened their friendships through every serve and smash, together writing a fresh and inspiring chapter in the College’s commitment to campus sports and mental well-being.
