The National University Faculty Teaching Innovation Competition is the only university teaching competition approved by the Ministry of Education and included on the Ministry of Education’s list of retained projects under the “Three Evaluations and One Competition” initiative. This year's Beijing regional competition, themed “Advancing Teaching Innovation, Cultivating First-Class Talent”, was closely aligned with the goals of building a high-quality education system and making China a leading country in education. It aimed to deepen higher education teaching reform, support the development of new engineering, new medicine, new agriculture, and new liberal arts, advance curriculum-based ideological and political education, and create a benchmark platform for showcasing and exchanging teaching innovation. With its high prestige, broad participation and far-reaching influence, the competition has become a benchmark for universities seeking to update their educational concepts and innovate their teaching methods.

This outstanding achievement would not have been possible without the hard work of the participating faculty teams and the College’s overall planning and all-round support. Since the launch of the competition, the College of Humanities and Law has attached great importance to it, actively mobilized participants and carefully organized the preparations. Drawing on its “First Faculty Workshop”, the College carried out a series of dedicated training and pre-competition coaching. It repeatedly invited faculty members who had won national awards in previous years, as well as internal and external review experts, to provide participating teams with one-on-one guidance and multiple rounds of revisions to key components, including classroom teaching videos, teaching innovation reports, and on-site presentations and defenses. The participating teachers pursued excellence and continually improved their teaching content, ultimately achieving outstanding results in the municipal finals.

As a Chinese saying goes, those who press forward with determination lead the way. This award is the fruit of the College's vigorous efforts to advance teaching reform. Building on this achievement, the College of Humanities and Law will fully implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, carry forward the spirit of the educator, and continue to deepen teaching reform. The College will further draw on the exemplary role of the award-winning teachers to encourage faculty to devote themselves to teaching, research, and innovation, and thereby contribute to the university’s high-quality development.
